Metal Carport Sizes
Metal carports are built in a wide range of sizes to fit everything from a single vehicle to multiple cars, trailers, and equipment. Whether you’re working with limited space or need full coverage for several vehicles, there’s a size that fits your setup.
Widths typically range from 10 to 30 feet, while lengths can extend from 20 feet to over 100 feet, depending on your needs. Height options can also be customized to ensure proper clearance for taller vehicles and equipment.
Single Car Carports
A single carport is perfect for individuals who need to protect just one vehicle. Typically, ranging from 10 to 12 feet wide and can be 20 to 30 feet in length, dependent upon your needs. These carports provide ample space for parking a car, motorcycle, or small equipment, making them a great fit for smaller driveways or properties with limited space.

Two Car Carports
A two-car carport offers protection for two vehicles parked side by side. It typically ranges from 18 to 24 feet wide, with lengths generally between 20 and 30 feet. This size is perfect for families or individuals with multiple vehicles such as cars, trucks, or SUVs. It’s a great option for homeowners who want added convenience without the high cost of a traditional garage.

Three Car Carports
For those with larger families or multiple vehicles, a three-car carport is the ideal solution. Typically ranging from 26 to 30 feet wide and 20 to 30 feet in length, this style of carport provides ample space for three cars, boats, or other large equipment. It’s an excellent option for anyone needing a larger structure for multiple vehicles or extensive storage.

Carport Roof Types
When it comes to metal carports and their roof styles, there are only three options: regular roofs, boxed eave (A-frame) roofs, and vertical roofs.
Regular Roof Style
The regular roof style is a classic, budget-friendly option. It features a simple horizontal design that is easy to install and maintain. This option works well in milder climates and provides reliable coverage, but may not shed rain or snow as efficiently as other roof styles.
Boxed Eave A-Frame Roof
The A-Frame (Boxed Eave) roof style is more durable and visually appealing than the regular roof. It features a triangular shape that enhances the carports structural integrity while adding a more finished look. This design is better at shedding rain and snow, making it a good choice for areas with moderate to heavy precipitation.
Vertical Roof
The vertical roof is the most durable and weather-resistant option available. The panels run vertically along the roof, allowing rain, snow, and debris to slide off easily. This roof style is ideal for areas with heavy snow, wind, or rain, as it minimizes the risk of build-up and increases the longevity of the structure.

Benefits of Having a Carport?
Protects your vehicle from sun, rain, snow, and hail; extending its lifespan by reducing weather-related damages. It offers a cost-effective alternative to a fully enclosed garage and provides versatile use for boats, trailers, ATVs, outdoor equipment, and more. It also adds value and functionality to your property with the benefit of quicker installation compared to traditional structures.
Is a Carport Easy to Maintain?
Yes! Carports are incredibly easy to maintain, especially when constructed with durable materials like steel. To keep your carport in good condition, simply perform occasional inspections and clean the roof and sides to remove debris. In coastal areas with saltwater exposure, occasional rust prevention touch-ups may be needed. Beyond that, your carport will require minimal maintenance and will provide you with years of reliable service.
Do I Need a Permit to Install?
Permit requirements vary by location. It is the customer's responsibility to contact your local county or city officials to determine whether a permit is required before purchasing your structure.
We're happy to provide any specifications or documentation you may need during the process.
How to Prepare for Your Install?
To ensure a smooth and efficient installation, the installation site must be level within 3 inches. For best results, we recommend preparing a pad slightly larger than your structure. For example, if your carport is 18 x 20, a pad size of 18.5 x 20.5 helps ensure proper fit and prevents the structure from sitting on the edge.
We also require at least 3 feet of clearance around the structure to allow our installation team to work safely and efficiently.
Proper site preparation helps prevent delays and ensures your building is installed correctly.
